President or Vice-President Clinton???
The only way I will not vote for Obama (at this point) is if Hillary Clinton is on the ticket. Essentially, what she does is negate my willingness to support him in any shape or form. In my opinion, HRC is bad for this country. I don't think she would destroy a whole lot, but at the same time I am not ready for a return to the days of yor OR Bill Clinton. Having her as President will do exactly that.
HRC is a polarizing individual. She will do for this election what GW did for past elections. Yes, you heard that correctly; rather than drawing the people to her side she will cause a very nasty and protracted election for the next president and, if nothing else, there will be no clear mandate for change.
What HRC represents is the OLD way of doing things. She is no different than Bill. She is no different than GW or McCain. She is a bad choice for the country. AND she would cause me to become somewhat politically active to make sure that she does not make it into the White House.
I can't imagine my life in a way where being politically active or support McCain was a way of life. I honestly hope and pray that the Democratic Party and the Super Delegates fall behind (more solidly) Obama; and yet, every day something happens that keeps her going. According to the talking heads (and yes, when I am alone, I tend to flip between entertainment and news (which is just a different form of entertainment) as I watch what is happening across the political spectrum) this race, between HRC and Obama will go until (at least) Pennsylvania. I would like to see it end sooner. I would like Obama to rise to the top. I would like to have a clearly defined front-runner (as the Republicans have), and I would like that person to be Obama.
My belief is that it will end up being Obama with an as yet unknown as his running mate; and yet, as HRC spins her wins, and as the press gobble it up (the press likes ambiguity), the nature of the elections that will determine the course of this country for (at least) another four years is harder and harder to pinpoint.
In the Prediction Markets Obama has had a solid lead on what the participants of that market think will be the next President. In the last 24 hours, however, he has lost a little more than one percentage point. This helps me keep the hope that he will win; but HRC has Bill who is a spin-doctor; especially if he is allowed to really help with the campaigning.
